Exciting improvements are coming to A.R. Glover Park!
A.R. Glover Park was constructed in 1999 and has not received comprehensive capital reinvestment since its original development. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-2022, staff submitted a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) request for renovation of the park.
A.R. Glover, identified in the Parks, Recreation, and Trails Master Plan as a potential park renovation project, was selected for a renovation because of a lack of capital funding for the park since its creation, the need for a playground replacement, and the city’s commitment to equitably distribute park development and renovation projects throughout the city.
In September 2025, the Parks Planning and Development Division issued a request for proposals to its on-call landscape architectural consultants for design services. In October 2025, Callander Associates was selected as the design team for the project.
We're pleased to announce a renovation that will enhance the playground, improve accessibility, and revamp the basketball courts. Additionally, we'll be updating the hardscape and layout of park finishings to create a more welcoming environment.
Potential additional improvements may include planting renovations, and a possible new amenity space. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting developments!
