City Council

The City Council consists of the Mayor and four (4) Council members and is the City's governing body having primary responsibility for enacting legislation and policies.

The longtime elected City Treasurer of Tracy, with a background in banking, public service, and leadership roles on numerous local and state boards, including the County Employees' Retirement Board and SACRS.

Districting

At a special meeting on August 26, 2025, the Tracy City Council adopted a resolution declaring its intent to transition from at-large to by-district Council elections. If approved, district elections would begin in November 2026, with the Mayor continuing to be elected citywide, and this page will be updated regularly with information about the districting process.
