Legacy Fields is going greener!

Starting March 23, the City will begin using recycled (non-potable) water to irrigate the fields, helping conserve our drinking water while keeping the fields green and game-ready.

Here’s what to know:

  • Recycled water will be used for landscaping only
  • Irrigation runs overnight (10PM–4AM)
  • Drinking fountains, restrooms, and concessions will always use safe, domestic (potable) water

As we transition to the new system, you may notice some changes during the transition period. City staff is actively monitoring operations and making adjustments to ensure the system performs reliably and maintains the high-quality conditions that residents come to expect.

We’re proud to keep Legacy Fields a top destination for local play, tournaments and are committed to ensuring that all users have an excellent experience, and maintaining the quality and availability of our fields is our top priority. We look forward to continuing to provide a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained space for the community to play, gather, and celebrate sports while taking steps toward a more sustainable future .
