Lolly Hansen Senior Center

The Lolly Hansen Senior Center offers a wide variety of classes, activities, special events and social service programs to anyone 50+. The senior center is an active place with a positive atmosphere. Our focus is on health and wellness programs, instilling healthy habits and enhanced lifestyle opportunities. Sweethearts Dance

SWEETHEARTS DANCE

Be mine? Celebrate the month of love with or without a sweetheart. This afternoon of sparkles includes a live DJ, photobooth and dancing. Enjoy light refreshments, a delicious dinner, and of course desert.

Shamrock Rock Luncheon

SHAMROCK ROCK LUNCHEON

Rock your socks off at the Shamrock Rock Luncheon. Have lunch with us to celebrate Mardi Cras, St. Patrick’s Day and everything in between. Don’t forget to bring your friends! Lunch includes corn beef, cabbage, and a shamrock themed desert.

SENIOR SPRING GAMES

Get ready for a little bit of friendly competition at our Senior Games! Designed for active adults 50 and older, this event offers a variety of games and activities to test your skills and bring out your competitive spirit. Prixes will be awarded at our closing ceremony. Registraion includes admission to the Closing Ceremony, one event, a medal, and a t-shirt. Participants must register for each desired event.

Registration Deadline: March 20

Registration Fee: $15 (res-disc), $16 (cost)

*Additional Event Fees: $5 (res-disc), $6 (cost)

Low cost, educational classes for seniors, ages 50+, at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts. Ongoing series offers art, movement, and social activities three times a month on Tuesdays. No experience necessary. Supplies are provided.

WEST COAST SWING CLASSES

Beginner Thursdays from 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Intermediate Thursdays from 4:00pm - 5:00pm

* Preregistration REQUIRED *

Beginner: Introductory dance class to learn the basic footwork, rhythm, and moves for those new to ballroom dancing. No partner required.

Intermediate: Prior dance experience recommended. Next level West Coast Swing class to build on basics with new patterns, styling, and techniques. No partner required.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS:

  • AARP Smart Driver Course: Offering two, four-hour classes in order to receive your DMV certificate. Take a smart driver course to learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving, and how to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time.
  • AARP Smart Driver Refresher Course: Offering one, four-hour refresher course sponsored by AARP. Must bring cash, check, or money order for AARP to register. (Must have completed AARP Smart Driver Course within the past 3 years and show valid AARP card)
  • Coffee with a Cop: Break down the barriers between police officers and the community they serve. Join the Tracy Police Department monthly at the Senior Center to discuss issues and learn more about each other. Enjoy distraction-free conversations with your local police officers while building relationships.
  • NEW!! Lolly Hansen Senior Center Tours: Learn your way around Lolly Hansen Senior Center and take a tour to highlight programs, spaces, and resources to feel at home in Tracy.
  • Life Lessons: Curated talks by retired psychologist, Dr. John Giehl. Each event features a new guest speaker to cover topics ranging from their Peace Corp experience to transitions into different phases in life. 
  • Lunch and Learn Seminars: Series of engaging monthly seminars hosted in partnership with local agencies. Bring your own lunch to learn about amazing topics affecting our seniors. 
  • Music Reading Class: Basics of reading music in a fun and approachable way. Introduction to music notes to help you gain confidence in playing or singing music. 
  • NEW!! West Coast Swing Class, Beginner: Introductory dance class to learn the basic footwork, rhythm, and moves for those new to ballroom dancing. No partner required.
