Utilities Department StaffThe Utilities Division oversees the operation and maintenance of the following areas:

John Jones Water Treatment Plant

Operates the City's Water Treatment Plant and well system to provide a water supply for the City along with the Cross-Connection program.


Wastewater Treatment Plant

Operates the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant to treat and dispose of the wastewater (sewage) collected from within the City along with oversight of the Pre-treatment programs.


Line Utility Maintenance

Maintenance and repair over 1,200 combined miles of water and wastewater lines, 200+ storm water conveyance miles, 3500 fire hydrants and 28,000 water meter connections.


Storm Water Management

Develops, implements and enforces the City's Storm Water Management Program. The goal of this program is to reduce the amount of pollutants that enter the City of Tracy Storm Drain System.


Water Management

Develops, implements and enforces the City's Water Conservation and Efficiency Program. To enforce all State regulations on conservation and to ensure adequate water supply for all water utility customers.


Utilities Laboratory

Provides laboratory services to ensure the City is processing water and wastewater to all required regulations.


Utilities Maintenance

Maintains, repairs, and replaces mechanical and electrical equipment at the John Jones Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant; services the City's water wells, booster pump stations, and wastewater lift stations.
