Temporary Emergency Housing Facility
The Salvation Army began operation at the Temporary Emergency Housing Facility on November 1, 2023, in partnership with the City of Tracy. This program provides case management and other services on-site to its guests with a goal of connecting them to sustainable permanent housing opportunities.

Keeping It Clean
On August 15, 2024, The Salvation Army (TSA) and clients from the Temporary Emergency Housing Facility (TEHF)gave back to the community of Tracy with their "Keeping It Clean" initiative.TSA and TEHF clients kicked off this project at Plascencia Fields where they cleaned up trash and debris throughout the park.
On August 27, 2024, "Keeping It Clean" team cleaned behind the shelter and the Interfaith parking lot and surrounding area. TSA connected with Interfaith to share thanks for all that Interfaith has done for the shelter. The TEHF clients felt great being able to give back to a program that has helped them.
Starting Thursday, September 5, 2024, the "Keeping It Clean" team will be keeping Tracy clean every Thursday of the month from 8:30AM to 10:30AM (weather permitting).

Volunteers
Engaging with the community is a valuable part of our client's journey to self- sufficiency, and this can be accomplished in a variety of ways.

Meal Sponsorship
The Salvation Army provides three meals a day to all shelter clients. Meal donations are the greatest need at this time. The best way to help is a meal sponsorship. Meal sponsorships can be scheduled for breakfast, lunch, or dinner seven days a week. Meals must be prepared in a ServSafe kitchen by a restaurant or prepared in a facility that can provide a copy of their ServSafe certification. We ask that donors provide 75 hot meals including sides, drinks, and appropriate paper goods and cutlery to support the meal.
For more information on how to sponsor a meal please contact the Volunteer Coordinator with The Salvation Army, Aurora Zarate-Ramirez via email at: aurora.zarateramirez@usw.salvationarmy.org
