The City of Tracy Parks, Recreation, and Community Services provides a wide range of seasonal sports programs for both youth and adults, creating opportunities for all ages to stay active and connected. Offerings include adult softball, Junior Golden State Youth Basketball, Junior Giants Youth Baseball / Softball, and summer baseball and softball camps. About Junior Giants Youth Baseball / Softball League

The City of Tracy Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is proud to partner with Junior Giants Youth Baseball / Softball organization - a free, eight-week, non-competitive baseball and softball program for boys and girls entering grades K–8. The program emphasizes skill development while promoting leadership, teamwork, confidence, and integrity.

Junior Giants is a free, noncompetitive baseball and softball program. Nearly 28,000 youth across California, Nevada and Oregon participate annually. The program offers equipment, uniforms, program incentives and coaches training. Junior Giants celebrates diversity - all are welcome to play.

JR. GIANTS YOUTH BASEBALL / SOFTBALL OVERVIEW

  • Season: The 2026 Junior Giants season will begin early June and will run until early August, comprising 8 weeks total.
  • Divisions: Separate divisions will be offered for T-Ball (5-6 years), Minors Baseball (7-9 years), Minors Softball (7-9 years), Majors Baseball (10-13 years), and Majors Softball (10-13 years)
  • Softball Division: All softball divisions are coed, however the curriculum is geared towards and focused on the girls in our league.
  • Game Dates: All games are hosted weekly at the Tracy Sports Complex. Games are held on either Tuesdays (Majors teams), Wednesdays (Minors teams), or Thursdays (T-ball teams). Official Game Schedules will be released as we get closer to the seasons start.
  • Practices: Each team will have one 1-hour practice at the Tracy Sports Complex. Practices can be held on any day Monday-Friday, and will be pending your coach’s availability.
  •  Team Roster Size: Teams are comprised of 15 players maximum.
  •  Player Jerseys: Uniforms are FREE and provided by the Junior Giants!
The Junior Giants program is NON-COMPETITIVE and focuses on having fun over wins/losses.
Scores are NOT KEPT, and there are NO "OUTS". Everyone gets to ball!

 

GAME INFORMATION:

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your game’s start to allow the event to start on time.
  • Location: All games are played at the Tracy Sports Complex (955 Crossroads Drive) on the baseball/softball side of the facility.
  • Game Schedules: Game Schedules for each division will be posted under this section as we get closer to the season’s start.
  • Junior Giants App: All Games and Practice dates/times will be listed in the Junior Giants App. Please download the app from your device’s app store to reference for this season. To login to the app, please use the same account information you used to register your child for the league. 
The Junior Giants runs on parent volunteers!
We cannot run this league without the help of our wonderful coaches. Volunteering as a coach in this league provides you with an opportunity to have a positive impact on the youth of our community. As a coach, you will be supported by the City of Tracy Parks, Recreation, and Community Services and the Junior Giants as  provide practice plans, equipment, practice locations, and more to ensure all volunteers have a successful season.

JUNIOR WARRIORS YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE OVERVIEW

Season Overview: The Junior Warriors Basketball season will run from January through early March with a total of 9 weekly games.

Divisions Offered: The City of Tracy currently offers divisions for 3rd - 4th Grade boys/girls and 5th-6th Grade boys/girls. Separate divisions are offered for boys and girls.

Game Dates: All games are hosted on Saturday mornings

Practices: Each team will have one 1 hour practice each week. Practices are held on Mondays - Thursdays in the evening. Specific days/times are pending your volunteer coach’s availability.

Team Roster Size: Teams are comprised of 10 players maximum.

Player Jerseys: All player jerseys will be provided to your team coach for distribution at your first practice. Sizes are assigned based on what was submitted at your registration.

League Rules: All League rules and expectations are provided after registration is complete.

 

GAME INFORMATION

  •  Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your game’s start to allow the event to start on time.
  • Forfeits: Insufficient players present AT game time may result in a forfeit of the game.
  • Jersey Color: Junior Warriors jerseys are reversible. The home team will wear the white/blue side of their jersey, while the visitor team will reverse theirs to the black/gold side.
  • Ejections: Violation of our League Rules will not be tolerated. For the safety of our participants, any player, coach, or spectator who violates our code of conduct will be removed from the facility immediately.
  • Game Schedules: Game schedules will be posted under this section as we get closer to the season start.

 

Adult Pickleball Tournament

Sign up for the 2026 Adult Pickleball Tournament! Participants will play together in teams of two, separated into Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned pickleball enthusiast or a newcomer looking to play with a friend, this tournament is the perfect way to connect with others who are passionate about the sport too!

Tournament Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026 @ 9:00am - 2:00pm

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your game’s start to allow the event to start on time.
  • Location: All games are played at Hoyt Park
  • Equipment: Participants are required to provide their own paddles. Balls will be provided for this event.

 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • COST: $30 per team ($15 per person for Free Agent)
  • AGES: All players must be 18 years or older to participate in the league.
  • If you do not have a team, you can register as a Free Agent on our website. *Players are not guaranteed to be placed on a team

 

Adult Softball League

The Parks & Recreation Department offers three separate adult slow-pitch softball leagues each year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Our recreational softball leagues are a great opportunity for you and friends, co-workers or neighbors to enjoy some fun, physical activity and socializing while enjoying one of the finest softball complexes in Northern California, the Tracy Sports Complex. The program offers two levels of competitiveness and skill level. Newer or less competitive teams may play in the Novice Division, and higher skilled teams may participate in our Intermediate Division.

Adult Softball General Information & Timeline

Registration: The 2026 Summer Softball season is accepting registration through Friday, May 29, 2026“Early Registration” discounts will be given to all teams who register before the deadline.

Season Overview: The 2026 Summer Softball season will begin on Friday, June 12, 2026 and will run until Friday, August 14, 2026.

Mandatory Virtual Managers Meeting: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 @ 6:00pm

Divisions Offered: The City of Tracy currently offers divisions for Men’s (Upper/Lower) and Coed teams (Lower).

Game Dates: All games are hosted weekly at the Tracy Sports Complex. Men’s teams play games on Friday Nights and the Coed teams play on Monday Nights. *No Games played on Fri. July 3, 2026

Practices: Each team is offered a weekly practice field at the Tracy Sports Complex, free of charge. Field availability is limited, and first-come first-serve.

Team Roster Size: Teams are comprised of 9 players minimum. Up to 20 players may be placed on a team roster.

Player Jerseys: Uniforms are optional in our league. Teams are more than welcome to create their own uniforms for their players.

League Rules: All League rules and expectations can be reviewed at seasonal virtual Managers Meeting on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 @ 6:00pm
