The City of Tracy’s Community & Economic Development Department, in partnership with Open Innovation Centers (OIC) and the San Joaquin Incubator, will host a Regional Pitch Event on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Tracy Transit Station. The event will bring together emerging entrepreneurs from across the region to present their business ideas to a panel of judges, with winners receiving a variety of cash prizes.

This marks the first regional pitch event held in Tracy through the City’s new collaboration with OIC and the San Joaquin Incubator. OIC is leading program operations, participant selection, and event coordination, while the City of Tracy is supporting the effort through hosting, outreach, and promotion.

The event is designed to support entrepreneurship, small business development, and innovative business ideas by connecting participants with mentorship, exposure, and potential funding opportunities. It also serves to highlight Tracy as a place where businesses can launch, expand, and thrive.

“Today’s entrepreneurs are tomorrow’s job creators. By hosting this event, providing a platform for new ideas, and supporting small business growth, Tracy is advancing its Ten-Year Economic Development Strategic Plan and turning bold ideas into businesses that will shape Tracy’s economic future,” said Jorge T. Barrera, J.D., Economic Development Manager.

Participants will compete for several cash prizes, including $500 awards for the top five finalists. The first-place winner will advance to the Countywide Pitch Event on April 24, where they will compete for a share of a $25,000 prize pool.

Entrepreneurs, partners, and community members interested in participating or supporting the program are encouraged to learn more or sign up at www.sjcincubator.com.
