About Our Aquatics Programs
The City of Tracy Parks, Recreation, & Community Services aquatics program brings the community together with safe, inclusive, and engaging water activities for all ages.Facilities are open from March through late November with full programming in June and July. Patrons can participate in American Red Cross swim lessons, lifeguard, & water safety classes for all ages and aquatics specialty classes like Competitive Swim Clinics, water exercise, and lap swim.

Children's swim lesson scholarships are available for qualified families. 2026 Tracy Friends Aquatics Scholarship Applications(PDF, 370KB) are available online and in person at City Hall and/or Joe Wilson Pool during business hours.

Lifeguard Certification Courses
Becoming a lifeguard requires hard work and the desire to help save lives!
Each student is required to pass prerequisite swim skill assessments before permitted to continue in the course. Once permitted to continue with the course students will work towards CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification.

FREE Lifeguard Workshops: April 15, 2026 | 5:00pm - 7:00pm
At these workshops you will learn what it takes to be a lifeguard in and out of the water, learn how to nail your interview, and be able to apply for our open positions on site! These workshops allow the opportunity to practice the prerequisite skills need for the lifeguard certification class.
