While construction and planning efforts are moving forward, the anticipated opening date for the project has been adjusted to Spring 2027. This change reflects the City’s commitment to delivering high-quality facilities and accounts for several factors, including:

  • The complexity of integrating specialized building systems
  • Coordination of numerous construction trades
  • Careful sequencing of building construction alongside a comprehensive renovation of the existing park
  • The City’s commitment to long-term quality and durability

This adjustment represents proactive approach to ensuring the facilities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the high standards expected by the community.

What Residents Can Expect

  • Tracy Recreation Activity Center (TRAC): A state-of-the-art recreation hub featuring indoor sport courts and running track, fitness spaces, and flexible program areas.
  • El Pescadero Park: Renovated amenities, upgrading landscaping, and enhanced gathering spaces that complement the new recreation center.

“These projects represent a significant investment in Tracy’s future,” said Brian MacDonald, Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services “We appreciate the community’s patience as we work to create spaces that will serve residents for decades to come.”
