Employee of the Month
It is with great pleasure that we announce Robert Rosenberg as Employee of the Month, in recognition of his exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to excellence in the City of Tracy's Innovation and Technology Department.
With nearly 18 years of service to the City, Robert has been at the forefront of numerous technological advancements—from the rise of cloud computing and mobile technologies to the increasing importance of cybersecurity and the emergence of artificial intelligence. Throughout these transformations, Robert has consistently demonstrated steady and insightful leadership, guiding the IT team with focus, clarity, and purpose.
Recently, Robert played a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of several large-scale IT initiatives. These projects include the successful selection and transition to new cybersecurity tools, the replacement of core network hardware, the installation of additional fiber to enhance city connectivity, and a city-wide refresh of computers, laptops, and monitors. Each of these complex projects required thoughtful planning, strategic delegation, and exceptional attention to detail—all of which Robert delivered while maintaining the high level of customer service the organization has come to expect from IT.
Robert is deeply committed to the development and growth of his team. He routinely assigns stretch projects to encourage learning and leadership, all while ensuring minimal disruption to end users and business operations. His ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day responsiveness is a hallmark of his management style
In addition to his professional achievements, Robert is known for his family-oriented nature and his love for the outdoors—particularly his time spent in Yosemite. He enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling to Portugal with his family, including his two children. His grounded demeanor and personal integrity have earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues across departments. Robert's strategic insight, calm leadership, and genuine dedication to both his team and the City make him an outstanding choice for Employee of the Month.
