Gretchen Talley Park - Phase III

Gretchen Talley Park, phase 3 is an expansion of the existing Gretchen Talley Park. Within this expansion, the City is proposing to add to the existing Gretchen Talley Park several features, such as a new lawn, landscaping, a decomposed granite path, lighted tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, a park restroom, large and small dog park areas, as well as a possible nature play and outdoor fitness area. The proposed Project is also anticipated to include various other features, including enhancements to pedestrian access to the Park.

As mandated by State law, the minimum comment period for this document was 20 (twenty) days and began on December 8, 2023 and will conclude on December 27, 2023. Pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21177, any legal challenge to the adoption of the proposed Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration will be limited to those issues presented to the City during the public comment period and/or during any duly noticed public hearings.

A public hearing to consider project approval and adopt the Initial Study / Mitigated Negative Declaration will be scheduled before the City of Tracy City Council. Once a hearing date is scheduled, adequate public noticing will be provided.

The City is pleased to announce that the Project Improvements have successfully completed the Building and Safety review process, and a permit will soon be issued. The bidding process has concluded, and the City is preparing to formally award the construction contract.

Over the next several months, the City will be onboarding the selected contractor and initiating the submittal and review process. Once a construction start date is confirmed, the community will be notified with updated information.
