Notice Inviting Bids
1. Bid Acceptance and Opening. The City of Tracy (“City”) will accept sealed bids for its CIP 73187, Slurry Seal Project, FY 25/26 (“Project”), by or before Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the City Clerk’s Office, 2nd Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, 95376. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.
2. Location and Description. The slurry seal resurfacing project is located on various residential streets, including Middlefield Dr., Whispering Wind Dr., and Brookview Dr. The work includes crack sealing, pavement repairs, slurry seal pavement resurfacing, pavement striping, and pavement markings.
3. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for work is between September 2026 and January 2027, depending on weather. Contract time to be Sixty (60) calendar days.
4. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor’s license for the following classification(s): Class A, General Engineering Contractor’s License.
5. DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with a Bid Proposal.
6. Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

7. Prevailing Wage Requirements. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer’s office or online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR, applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed. The Contractor is hereby made aware that information regarding prevailing wage rates may be obtained from the State Department of Industrial Relations and/or the following website address: https://www.dir.ca.gov/OPRL/
8. Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price.
9. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300.
10. Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
