Community Volunteer Clean-Up Events

The Volunteer Community Clean-Up Program began in 2025. The Solid Waste and Recycling Division strives to coordinate efforts between various volunteer organizations, nonprofits, and City staff in efforts to establish a program to reduce debris that would otherwise impact the image and beauty of City streetscapes and parks. This program provides an opportunity for residents to engage with others in the community and contribute to a more beautiful and welcoming Tracy.

The City is proud to partner with Tracy Earth Project for these community clean-up events, working together to encourage environmental stewardship and community pride.

We strongly encourage participants to register up to a week prior to the events. Though registration is not required, the purpose of registering for the event will allow staff to be able to better determine the number of supplies to provide such as bags, gloves, trash pickers, etc. to participants. Registration also allows staff to identify a cleanup area closer to the event date, and that location will be emailed to registered participants.

2026 Community Volunteer Clean-Up Event Dates

To register for the event, please click on and complete the registration form and the appropriate waiver.

  • Promotional flyer for a City of Tracy and Tracy Earth Project community cleanup event. Includes photos of volunteers picking up litter, event details for March 28, 2026 at 8 AM, location near the railroad area at 6th Street and West Street south of Portuguese Hall, a map with meeting location, and contact information.
    Saturday, March 28, 2026 (starting at 8:00 AM) - register by March 20th
    Location: Railroad Area on 6th St. & West St., directly south of the Portuguese Hall. Parking available on the side of the road on 6th St.
  • Saturday, June 13, 2026 - register by June 5th
  • Saturday, September 26, 2026 - register by September 18th
