January 24--Construction on the Corral Hollow Road and Valpico Road intersection widening project will resume the night of Monday, January 26, as crews begin a new phase of work focused on underground utility installation.
The intersection will be fully closed overnight from 8 pm to 5 am to allow contractors to safely install utilities that cross through the intersection, including sewer, storm drainage, and recycled water lines. The overnight closure is necessary due to the complexity of the work and to protect both workers and the traveling public.
This phase of construction is expected to last approximately four to six weeks, weather permitting. Once the underground utility work is complete, crews will move forward with roadway widening, installation of new traffic signals, and construction of ADA-compliant curb ramps.
During the overnight closure of the Corral Hollow and Valpico intersection, Lammers Road will remain open to traffic.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes during closure hours. The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure improvement project moves forward.
