Notice Inviting Bids

Bid Acceptance and Opening. The City of Tracy ("City"), will accept sealed bids for its Transit Station Emergency Backup Generator Project, CIP 77592, ("Project"), by or before May 27 2026, at 3:00p.m., at the City Clerk's Office, 2nd Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, 95376. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.
Location and Description. The Project is located at 50 East 6th Street, Tracy, CA, 95376. Work includes: Installation of a diesel emergency generator, generator enclosure, trash enclosure improvements and all associated electrical and landscape improvements as shown on the contract plans.
Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for work is between August 2026 and August 2027. Contract time to be three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days.
License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class B, General Building Contractor's License.
DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with Bid Proposal.
Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Prevailing Wage Requirements. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer's office or online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR, applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed.
Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price.
Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300.
Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Pre-bid Job Walk. An OPTIONAL Pre-bid Job Walk will be held at 50 East 6th Street, Tracy, CA 95376, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is OPTIONAL but highly recommended.
