Tracy City Council Appoints City Manager

The City of Tracy is excited to announce the appointment of Jenny Haruyama as the new City Manager. Ms. Haruyama will begin her duties at the City of Tracy on or before May 31, 2019, becoming Tracy's eleventh City Manager since 1954.

Ms. Haruyama states "I am truly honored to have been selected as Tracy's City Manager. Having worked and raised my family here, returning to Tracy is like coming home. The people are the heart of this community and I look forward to building upon that foundation to accomplish great things for our vibrant City."

Local Hazard Mitigation Planning

The City of Tracy is currently taking steps to update its Hazard Mitigation Plan according to federal and state guidelines. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) defines hazard mitigation as, "any sustained action taken to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to life and property from natural hazards." Another way to understand hazard mitigation is as the prevention component of the emergency management process. We will continue to update this webpage as part of our ongoing effort and encourage the public to participate throughout the process by attending meetings and offering constructive input.

Corral Hollow Road Construction Project

Beginning April 23, 2018, several segments along Corral Hollow Road will be closed for specific intervals of time to construct utility connections for new development in south Tracy, including Phase 1 of the Tracy Hills master-planned community. Phase 1A requires new water lines on or adjacent to Corral Hollow Road that will connect to the City of Tracy’s Water Treatment Plant, south of the Tracy Airport as well as a sewer line connecting to the end of the City’s sewer main line at Parkside Drive. For information on detour routes, project timeline and updates visit: www.chclosure.com. The project hotline number is (209) 221-4809 or info@chclosure.com.
