Effective January 1, 2026, the 2025 California Building Codes will go into effect. All new submittals received as of January 1, 2026, will be required to meet the 2025 California Code
For all One-Two Family Dwellings and Townhomes, submittals for Residential Fire Sprinklers and Residential Fire-Flow Test will be submitted to the Building Safety Division.
To submit your Building Permit Application, please email plancheck@cityoftracy.org along with your plans and supporting documents in accordance with our Electronic Plan Check Requirements.
The Residential Fire Sprinklers Plan Check Fee must be paid prior to the plans being reviewed. The balance of the permit fees will be due at the time the permit is issued. Permit fees will be collected via eTRAKiT or in person at City Hall during normal business hours.
If you are responding to plan review comments or are making any revisions to your plans, please fill out and submit the Deferred - Resubmittal - Revision Form with your corrected plans. Please note all changes need to be clouded and given a delta designation.
