City Departments

Residential Utilities

The Finance Department sends bills to City residents and businesses each month for water, sewer, garbage (solid waste) and storm drain services. About 25,000 bills are prepared each month. The City operates its own water and wastewater (sewer) plants as well as maintains a storm drain system. Garbage, recycling and yard waste service is provided by a private firm but the charge is combined on the City’s bill.

To sign-up for utility services, close a utility account, or authorize automatic payments, please see “Resources” to the right for the required forms.  Residents can sign-up for utility services by visiting the City of Tracy Finance Department located inside of City Hall or you can email a signed Residential Utility Services Application (Spanish version) to customerservice@cityoftracy.org or fax to (209) 831-6846.  Please note, copies of your rental agreement or escrow closing documents are required to be submitted with your application.

There are several bill payment options available to Tracy utility customers, including: automatic payments, online payments, pay by phone, in person at Tracy City Hall, 7-Eleven cash payments and by mail to the following address:

To assist you with any of these services, the Finance counter is open Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on alternating Fridays, Tracy City Hall, 333 Civic Center Plaza.
