COVID-19/Coronavirus Not Expected to Impact Water Service Delivery to City of Tracy Customers

The City of Tracy wishes to reassure our water service customers that the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will not impact the continue, uninterrupted delivery of reliable, clean water for our residents and businesses.   Tracy’s Utilities Division has a team of dedicated professionals working around the clock and have procedures in place to ensure that the City of Tracy is able to continue essential operations, like water service delivery, without impact to our customers.

We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation that we are all facing together and are committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers as the situation evolves. Effective immediately for the next two months, the City of Tracy Utilities Billing Division will suspend the shut-offs of water service for non-payment of water and sewer bills.  Late payment penalties for residents and commercial customers will also be waived during this time.  

We strongly encourage you to use City’s online and telephone payment options and other resources for self-service and 24/7 account access. You can access your accounts online at your convenience, where you can make payments, view transactions, check balances, and more. It is easier and faster (in most cases) to manage your account electronically, especially given that call wait times may be longer than usual.

We also understand that there may be instances where customers find themselves facing financial difficulties.
